The bench on Kololi Rd is where the bigger jobs land: head gaskets, clutch replacements, timing belts, gearbox work. Two bays, a proper lift, and a compressor that has outlived three of the cars it has fixed.

Call-out across the coast
Most days the van is out before nine. We cover Serekunda, Kanifing, Bakau, Fajara, Bijilo, Sukuta and the airport road. Flat battery, snapped belt, no start, overheating — we carry the common parts so the first visit is usually the only visit.

Full engine service
Oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, belts checked and tensioned, coolant topped, battery terminals cleaned. Takes about two hours at the workshop or on your own driveway.

Diagnostics & fault-finding
Engine light on, rough idle, cutting out in traffic, losing power on the highway. We read the codes, then trace the actual fault — sensor, wiring, fuel delivery or vacuum — and tell you plainly what it is.

Brakes & suspension
Pads, discs, drums, brake fluid, handbrake adjustment. Shock absorbers, bushes, ball joints and wheel bearings — the rattles and knocks that Serekunda's roads hand out for free.

The workshop
Who you’re calling
Demba Njie started fixing cars in 2003, apprenticed to a workshop off Westfield Road that has long since closed. He opened his own bench on Kololi Road in 2009 with one toolbox and a borrowed jack. The van came in 2014, after a year of customers asking whether he could just come to them.
Today it is Demba, his nephew Modou, and a third pair of hands during the busy season. Most of the work is repeat customers and the people they send — taxi drivers on the Kanifing route, families with a second-hand car that needs to keep going another five years, and the occasional visitor whose hire car has picked the wrong week to fail.
We are not a dealership and we do not pretend to be. We fix what is broken, tell you what can wait, and show you the old part when we hand the car back.

Coming from Kairaba Avenue, turn onto Kololi Road at the junction by the filling station and continue about 400 metres. We are on the left, behind a green metal gate with the tools sign painted on it. Parking on the road outside.

Have your registration number and, if you know it, the make, model and year to hand. If the car will not start, tell us whether the lights come on — it saves a trip and usually saves you money.
